DEFENDER OF THE CHURCH OF CHRIST (First Part)

 

People are unaware that we are facing the most severe trials and the most extreme poverty to come to this world which had never happened ever since the creation of man. Next to this, different types of disasters are looming as well. As these things happens simultaneously on all sides, people will be confused not knowing where to run or go to seek a safe place.

 

Members of the CHURCH OF CHRIST being human, will also be frightened, but for the truly faithful it will not be the same. Because we are firm in our hope that the Lord God will be on our side to protect and take care of us.

 

But now, a big question is arising. Many brethren are aware that the CHURCH OF CHRIST suffers from damages as an outcome of the current events in the church. But almost everybody dared not talk openly about this and are restrained from doing any action or even questioning. They have seen the changes in the present Administration from the top to the locale level, and they are too afraid to suffer the same fate like the others. Gone are the days when the grievances and complaints of the common members are attended with love and care by their leaders. Now, these grim leaders rule them harshly and their humble approach are met by a roaring angry lion.

 

This trend going on for some time now is alarming to the brethren. How are things to go on? Many are asking who will they acknowledge as their Leader, who are willing to listen to their grievances, if they were pushed around by those close to the Administration? Who will be their advocate, who will protect the Church on that fearsome and dreadful day when the inevitable disaster occur in this world? How long will they wait, hoping for the Administration to listen and act on their grievances and complaints if they are not given attention? But one thing that we are sure of, these calamities are coming to this world and because the CHURCH OF CHRIST is still here, it will surely affect us all. So who will protect us? Who will take care and listen to the grievances of the brethren who are hoping that someone will guide and administer them!

So before all these things happen, we need to be sure what to do while waiting for the promises that we eagerly long for?   MATTHEW  24: 44  Therefore you also must be ready; for the Son of man is coming at an hour you do not expect. We must prepare, not merely prepared, but always be prepared! As commanded by our Lord Jesus Christ!   Being …  37  As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.   38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark;   People were too busy with their personal things during those days. This is no different with the present situation of our society.  42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. And because we do not exactly know when … what is the emphatic mandate after we prepare according to our Lord Jesus Christ.  MATTHEW 25:  13  Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.

 

None of us my beloved brethren in the CHURCH OF CHRIST, can evade. As it is appointed by the Lord God., it will happen at an unexpected time. Surely no one knows when this world will end, except the Lord God who will bring it to pass. It is part of His secret plan.
